I used to do that a lot...have you tried a different pillow, or maybe one between your knees, or behind your back? Can you sleep well on your back?

It is odd you can't sleep on your side, the fetal position is often the most common for people to sleep in.

I always slept on my stomach until I started using the CPAP machine 5 years ago, then I had to learn to sleep on my side.
