Trivia time

53 players have maintained an average of at least a point per game in the NHL (min. 500 career points)

Of those 53, how many are American? Bonus points if you name them.

Racking my brains to remember who is from where. I guess Brett Hull is considered American even though he is the son of a Canadian. I'm sure he has played for America Internationally. Not sure he would have enough assists to keep up the PPG average though.

Actually Jeremy Roenick. He seems more likely.

I would guess the top PPG defensemen would be Leetch and Housley but I would also guess they aren't the answer here. Tkachuk comes to mind but I can't see it. I don't think Kane would have played enough games yet (and I don't know if he has the average anyway.)

I'm thinking it must be someone from longer ago. Like Brian Mullen era.

What about fokken Joe Mullen?

Mike Bossy's goal-scoring stats are absolutely ridiculous. If you exclude his last season where he was handicapped by back injuries, he's never scored LESS than 51 goals in a season.

He's had FIVE 60-goal seasons.

NINE consecutive 50-goal seasons.

Highest ratio of goals per game ever, above Lemieux.

Unfokkinreal.

Yeah Joe Mullen. That's who I was grasping for in the first place. I knew when you said PPG of .75 or whatever, it wasn't just that the guy I was thinking of was not as good as I thought. I was just connecting the wrong name with a situation I was remembering.
