it does a ton of stuff, but sipping on a really hot day or after a workout will aid in controlling dehydration and cramping while sweating your ass off... thats probably what you are thinking of... nothing but sodium and vinegar basically, so sip responsibly .. and yeah, bacon is right, if i need to shit, ill do a little glass of pickling brine before any medicine to help me shit

I love some pickle juice

Short term I think it would hurt muscular dehydration as water would rush to your stomach and intestines and away from your muscles to keep a proper Na+ balance

i keep miralax in the cupboard, but cant remember the last time i had any... as much food(protein) as ive taken in over the winter, im really surprised i havent needed it... hydroxycut/pre workout mix , both with a lot of caffeine , keep me as regular as i could want

i agree arch... not real big on those summer football camps that have introduced the brine into practices... could be really bad for kids who unknowingly have hbp too
 
Only take in extra sodium if you have a ton ton of water too

There is a reason drinking sea water is a bad idea in a raft miles from rescue.

If you are already cramping, make sure you take in a liter for every sip of pickle juice
