I wonder if this is all came to a head as a result of the recent "controversy" about the SBR sportsbook gleeping the shot-takers points. A few guys came out strong against SBR's actions and started some threads in S&I and those looked like they could go on for quite awhile so SBR, obviously wanting to squelch things a bit, moved the threads to the points forum which has like a tenth the activity.

I bet it got them thinking about ways they could make stuff like that go away even better.

"Hey guys, what if there was a forum where all threads are locked?!"
