Poll was conducted during a very vulnerable and difficult time. Leaf fans are hiding and will never admit to being a Leaf fan. When the Leafs are winning (which is rare) all is good and the Leafs are the biggest thing in Kanada. Leafs nation is hiding.

They are hoping so. All of the mopes are betting them to win the WS, partially based on the movie Back to the Future. They picked them to win in 2015 (not making that up either, people are betting based on that). Seriously,. they should get 77-85 wins.

I find the Leafs less lovable than the Cubs but that is probably just due to my unfortunate position smackdab in the middle of Leaf nation and all the related hubbub - whereas the Cubs are way over there.
