Who are "the owners"? Reno you live in one of few countries where it's possible to go from working-class to the "ruling elite" within one lifetime. Start a business, take some risks - before long you'll be looking for tax loopholes, shopping for cheapest benefits plan for your staff and donating your extra cash to the Democrats.

The US is your oyster renoballs.

(I'm a wage slave and I'm not complaining. I'm lazy. All I ask is that you give me a paycheck and let me go home at 5:30pm.)

Reno lives in one of the few countries where it is possible to win the powerball lottery.

He has the same chance at going from working-class to the "ruling elite".

Actually, I think his chances are better at winning the lottery.

the owners are the people who own assets. Economic power. The shleps you're voting for are presented for your pleasure as representatives to serve the interests of that power.

Regular people who don't own large assets can have some power but they would need to unite in large number or take risks as you say, such as Manning this guy and others. It's a tough road. My point is it has little to do with voting.

The point is not to become the owner Matty, but to fight for justice.

Personally, I sympathize and support anyone who struggles for justice and I believe I have struggled for it in my own way.
But I have, at this point, little anger or passion for improving the lot of humanity. fok em cockroaches. It's a young mans game.

Does warm the heart though seeing young guys like that take a stand.

Plommer pal, I only mean on a personal level. Such as refusing to work, assimilate in certain ways. Arguing and fighting with teachers and students, Preaching my gospel to the masses etc..

No stories of hiding out in the jungle with a rifle unfortunately.

What is "justice" for someone who refuses to work?

a winning powerball ticket?

That's fine, I enjoy listening to what you have to say, we share many of the same unpopular beliefs/ideas.

You're enriching the owners/elites every time you buy a ticket - the hold is typically 40 to 50%.

If you buy lottery tickets, you're part of the problem.

Try again.

The hold doesn't bother the one holding the winning ticket.

As for buying tickets is the problem, I hardly think so. I spend less on lottery tickets than I do on coffee each day.

I think what Reno is saying is that the system is in place in America and it isn't going to change because those that control it have no reason to want change.

Just like the chances of actually realizing the American dream are slim to none for most people.
The American dream is about the perceived "opportunity" or chance at becoming extremely wealthy, obviously there isn't enough room in the USA for 330 million billionaires.

At one point in time I thought I would make millions by placing "tiny little ads" in the newspaper.

PS: I too live in a 1BR apartment.

The American dream looks alot like this:
