Pokerstars pulls out of Canada

We still have iPoker network, which is the largest network in the world.

I've been playing on iPoker since 2005 at Sportsinteraction and played very little on Stars.

I think the Poker Stars withdrawal from Canada may have something to do with legal online poker being offered by the provinces.

British Columbia and Quebec already have it, Ontario is still working on it.

I won't miss onloine poker, I play only when extremely bored.
 
PokerStars will be owned by a Canadian company.

Last week, Amaya Gaming (of Montreal Quebec) acquired Rational Group for $4.9 billion. You already know this. Everyone interested in poker knows this, and plenty of people with no interest in poker have heard about it too because it’s an enormous sum of money changing hands. The deal is expected to be completed in late September, at which point the mostly-beloved PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker will become Canadian-owned.
