Mr. X, wally, others, what steps would you normally take to try to get out of a funk? Just so its clear, I was being a little dramatic earlier and feel confident that I will make up my losses. I have been down this road before and usually it will just click. Just not sure why I am so streaky in poker.

Hopefully the burrito does the trick today.

Drink more. Smack your girl around, but only body parts where bruises will be hidden.

MF'er, I play only tournaments and usually in SNG's. I am playing in a MTT now as mixing up between tourney types has helped me in the past. I have never had much success in cash games and avoid playing them because I do not have the confidence necessary to be profitable.

Mr.X, I am trying to play more tight and aggressive but might be tightening up a little too much in the last few days. Just discussing the topic is actually putting my mind at ease a little. We will see how it goes.

I should have also mentioned that when you're running bad is a great time to read or reread a good poker book.

You've read Harrington's tournament books?

Thanks for the advice Mr. X. I have looked through Harrington's books but need to buy them and read them thoroughly.

Last night the wife and I drank three pitchers of Yuengling and ate average lobster at a sports bar. Did not think about poker the whole night and had a great time watching baseball. It was her idea to go out to happy hour and get away from my frustrations. Gotta love her. She gets it.

Oh, I do.
