Live poker is not rigged. Just wanted to clarify that because I read it in this thread somewhere.

Sometimes players confuse "rigged" for variance or poor play.

But it is nice to see some poker talk on Gamelive

Herman you've probably played a lot of blackjack before. Herman variance in blackjack is among the lowest of all casino games (Baccarat is in the same league) yet you'll still experience wide swings both ways and you probably know that for a fact.

Herman variance in poker is several order of magnitudes higher than that of blackjack. You'll think you're a poker God one month and then become convinced you're cursed the next month, and I'm talking about daily play, like them pros do. Herman poker is not for the faint of heart.

Good point. I'm only going to play at max once a week for like 5-6 hours max. Just going to be a hobby kind of thing.

Sorry it is an inside joke among me and a few others at a poker forum...... I have always insisted (for the most part) that on line poker is as "rigged" as live poker. If you play enough you'll see it all especially at smaller buy ins or cheaper ring games.....

Put on your tin foil hat and join me in this rigged talk..... :)
