Public sector plumbers are totally unionized.

The public sector is a different world Rogatien.

oh I get it

but plumbers don't get unionized, they should have said cops
"UA" The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada.

Union plumbers in Toronto (UA local 46) over $50 an hour, plus weekely vacation pay of 10%.
Journeyman plumbers routinely earn over $100k here.
Non union plumbers earn much less.
Union plumbers work mostly in industrial sites, housing is left for the non union guys.

united association plummers

I didn't know plommy173, I had no idea

I will tell my friend Yesi de la Cruz

but these unionized plummers must be salary employees to threaten strikes, not the traditional one job and done plummers
I can only speak about the unionized plumbers here, they can strike and they will be backed by all the other trade unions, ie carpenters, electricians etc so if the plumbers are on strike the other unionized trades will not cross picket lines on a job site which shuts the project down completely.

Trade unions in Canada and Europe are very powerful. In the US not as much as big business owns the US government completely.

I was a union member and am pro union. Always will be.
