Goal is to make a prototype/sample for a local seamstress to use as a template. (This is separate from my importing business, which is going ahead as planned.) I want to offer something made here, out of US materials, to appeal to the BUY LOCAL crowd.

I made this oven mitt just to test whether I'd even be able to make a glove myself. I am!

So the next step is to make a glove of my design on the actual leather I want to use (US deer and elk.) This white leather is bargain-bin pigskin that is too stiff to make a useable glove. Good to practice on is all.

My design idea is pretty simple. One extra piece of leather that covers strategic areas of the palm, pinky and knuckles.
