RJ, how much are these other forum softwares? I know VBulletin isn't the greatest, but I just upgraded to 5.1.9 and must say it's pretty good for VBulletin standards.
How much better are the ones you listed in the original post compared to VBulletin?

It's actually cheaper to change software than to upgrade to vbulletin 5, but that's not my primary reason to change. Most every forum that have change and compares both always say Xen is better, and some pretty big forums have made the jump. Plus Xen have an active developers community, vb hardly has anything new coming out because they angered the developers a long time ago.

Xenforo? I thought about converting but wasn't confident I would be able to learn all the new functions that come with it. I pay the $150 a year for phone service with VBulletin so I can just call in if I have any issues.
VBulletin automatically configures for mobile and tablets. The responsive adsense ads automatically fit your screen which is nice too.
The main issue I have with VB 5 is the posts sometimes lag if you're not logged in. I need to call and ask them when they are going to fix that!
