It's not that difficult to "imo", "personally I think", "the way I see it" or any number of other ways to show that you are merely offering your opinion.

Like I said it can be a matter of perception and perhaps I have perceived it wrong.

Most English professors would give you a fail, Wally. Those phrases have no use (especially in formal writing) unless you need to be told the obvious.
