Needed to use the restroom at a Shell gas station on our way home from Aliante Station.
Potato casually enters the mini mart, giving a head nod to the worker behind the cash register. After entering the restroom, Potato and Tomato overhears a different female employee and the co-worker behind the register chatting about Potato entering the rest room. The other employee who is on cleaning duty is incredibly upset that "he (Potato) didn't see my sign". Over the next 30 seconds to a minute, We hear them discussing about how they want Potato to trip over the Caution: Wet Floor sign, which was then moved directly in front of the men's restroom door. As Potato is washing his hands, she knocks "housekeeping" and chews Potato out for not seeing her sign the first time, which Potato responds with "Sorry, but Potato did not see your sign" and walks away.
What's the next course of action here? Does Potato...
- Let it go (his suggestion)
- Call the manager (who's probably their friend)
- Call the manager's manager (Tomato's suggestion)
Remember, this is Las Vegas, the land of unemployment where people who used to make 100K are now security guards for $12.50 / hr and are grateful they have that job.
Only now does Potato understand that correct play for Potato was to purposely trip over her sign and threaten a lawsuit, knowing that Tomato was in the store as a witness who heard the exact same strategic game-plan by the employees that Potato did.
