I think this is programmed into you guys from birth. My son is doing this now and he's only 15 months old.

Now that you mention it, I kinda do that too. Same with when I microwave things; I always use odd numbers.

Similar in a way to how I always slightly misspell the items on my grocery list. Unyun, hot soss, sope.

It isn't obsessive though. I could use round numbers or spell things properly and it wouldn't bother me.

I am sticking with my diagnosis of eccentric.

Yeah I don't think it's compulsive behaviour. Although I'd probably lay awake for a few minutes if I knew my alarm was set for 7:30.

I used to think it was because I liked being naughty - like I was scamming a few extra minutes of sleep from the universe. But now I've come to accept I'm just a bit loopy actually.
