Supplements give you a small edge, much of that is psychological.
but unless you KNOW you will hit the gym regularly and eat effectively for at least a solid year, I don't see the point in wasting $ on supplements.
Most people go on an exercise KICK for 1 week to 3-6 months, but drift back to laziness. and any $ spent on supplements during that time goes down the drain. Save the $ buy yourself a new wardrobe.
for those seriously addicted to exercise and need the release of almost daily high intensity training. Or have a Napolean complex or other NEED to become more muscular than society warrants.
a bit of extra protein in shake form
a multi vitamin
Creatine if you wanna be 5-8 lbs heavier with intracellular muscular water.
any NO-explode type stuff is great for fun pumps in the gym (especially if you add glycerol products), but you can get the same effects by buying straight arginine amino acid pills, and popping 3 grams before your workout with some creatine and some high glycemic index carbs.
most of the other stuff (outside of pro-hormones...i'm not sure what is going on with those now) will give you small improvements MAYBE... but they aren't worth the money.
If I could manufacture a pill that would ensure the recipient would hit the gym 3 times a week for 30 mins with a full body workout, for a full 52 weeks.
THAT would be a pill more powerful than the most powerful cocktail of steroids and/or HGH available.
its all about consistency
