Following up my dealing with depression thread, I have come to the conclusion that I need to, with no exceptions, get away from all things involving gambling and alcohol at least for awhile.

I have a real opportunity currently to move up professionaly and finally get a college degree and I feel like I am blowing it and if I blow it I will be one miserable motherfucker when, not if, my fiancee rightfully leaves me.

Only posting this here because I like you guys the best and if I check in anywhere for gambling forums it will be here.

Yeah just no one thinks it has anything to do with the group etc. I'm going so far as to go to an AA meeting and see where that goes etc.

We are talking about a heavy drinking and gambling problem that extends over 15 years; not so bad if you can afford it and can function as you need to with it, but disastrous when you can't.
