In truth, I just want to see the Cup in Canada; Cheering for any one team is arbitrary Bullshit anyway as far as I'm concerned; I just like to watch hockey.

Sweet deal Quincy. Same here. I love the sport. It's goign to be pretty funny watching/seeing Eugene go on some lame rants this season. The Sens are in a world of hurt if Anderson falters.

The only reason the Leafs' management even decided to get off their fat, rich arses is because they knew if they didn't, the fan base would start to crumble. Even the most loyal Toronto fans were beginning to falter, in my opinion.
It's a joke being in the Air Canada Centre and looking at the banners from 50-100 years ago and seeing no real noteworthy ie; Winning players #s up there either. They actually took down a lot of the old pictures at MLSE to try to stop reminding everyone that their glory days are now 1/2 a century old.

Make no mistake though. All of the property around the ACC; ie the new condo towers and mega restaurants are all owned by MLSE; They know that the bottom line is making MIllions and millions for mother Rogers and Ma Bell.

Times are a changing indeed Quincy. I see the Leafs as an elite top contender within 2-3 years. There's still a wee bit of work to do, but we are well on the right track. It's about time, but good times are ahead. An elite TML team is pur gold for the NHL.

Quincy the majority of players still in the NHL are Canadians. Relax man. Look at Chicago. Most players are Canadian. Same with Anaheim.

I'm curious to see how long before Patrick Roy explodes however.

So when Chicago plays Anaheim and they play only the American anthem, is that kinda weird for the players? How do they view this, whats the proper protocol?

What about the european players? Detroit plays the Canadian and US anthems at every game.

well we know we're foreigners here. Its odd to think Canadians would feel like foreigners in their own league. It feels like the Canadians play some kind of subservient role. Good on Detroit at least if they play both anthems all the time.

They shoud just play the Canadian anthem in Detroit and Buffalo. The majority of fans in attendance are Canadian.

I think they play both anthems for all sporting events in Detroit because of the large number of fans from Windsor. I guess Buffalo would also.
