The Leafs should trade two or three spare parts that have contributed to them missing the playoffs for most of the last decade for Zdeno Chara and Milan Lucic.

That would clearly make the team better. Leafs management is stupid not to do that.

It'd be so nice for the loyal Toronto crowd to have something to really cheer for, for once. The last time the Leafs won, colour TV wasn't even in most homes.

I've lived in Toronto for over 20 years so of course I would not be terribly upset if the Leafs won. In fact, a large portion of my income is from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment so I don't bite the hand that feeds me.

I am from Ottawa area and I like the idea of smaller market team like Ottawa. With the $$ the Leafs have there is no reason for such a terrible track record spanning 1/2 a century. It is insulting to the Leaf hockey fans; This is why I dislike the Leafs.

I'm glad we got rid of Alfie. 18 seasons was far too many as far as I'm concerned. I chose Ottawa over Toronto or Montreal a few seasons ago because I grew up closest to Ottawa and my brother has wicked season's tickets... so there.

Simple. Legit prospects are valuable commodities in packaging up deals. Has nothing to do with cap space.

Besides the Leafs will be in good shape once the final roster is decided on so we will be far under the cap. We can just send players to the minors. Pretty simple. We are actually under the cap right now. Good Times!!!
