Just figured I put this out there for anyone interested in some insight into the upcoming 2010 season. Kroyrunner89 is a guy who started about the same time over there as myself and we PMed back and forth at times. Kroy was the 2009 Beat the Prick winner!

He's just a regular guy who isn't looking for anything for his work here. You can read at the bottom of the page a little about himself. Presently in his blog he has what he thinks will take place in the AFC this year.

3-1 last week. 14-21 now for the year.

Remember the previous 2 years he didn't get into his system plays until about midway point of season. Let's see how these work out this week.

System 1
This is the system I first came up with back in 2008, eventually leading to the launch of my old site. It's basically a big statistical equation that predicts the final score of each game, with some picks of course being stronger than others. The picks with the appropriate strength are the ones that become system plays, and over the last two years this system has hit 60%+. For those of you who see my posts on forums, you know that I tried launching totals a little early this year for the purpose of tracking to see if they'd be ready. Turns out they weren't, as from weeks 5-8 it was a dismal 2-10 ATS (0-1 on overs, 2-9 on unders). Stats were still too imbalanced and it suffered as a result, which is exactly why I wasn't releasing these to you. As far as I'm concerned it failed the early launch test and we'll continue to launch it Week 9 in future years. I do consider overs and sides the strongest plays for this system, so if you're betting these play unders a bit lighter than you'd play those.

System 2
I spent this past offseason developing System 2, looking for a new angle to approach things from and hopefully find another edge. I reached some results that I'm very hopeful will continue, but it's important to note that this was developed on backtesting and we won't know for certain whether we're on to something or not until we test this going forward. From weeks 5-8 this system was 16-10 ATS (4-1 on overs, 5-5 on unders, 7-4 on sides). I'm certainly pleased with the start that this system is off to, and hope that the results will continue the rest of the year.

From now until the Super Bowl, I'll post system picks on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. The point of getting these posted early is so you can potentially beat any unfavorable line movement. I recommend that you pick and choose from the system selections that you like, keep in mind that these picks are 100% based on stats and sometimes stats can be misleading. I'll still be posting my official picks every Saturday, a good portion of which will be coming from these from now on. Let's hope these systems post a solid year for us, and we can get back to the winning ways we're used to! Here are my system picks for Week 9, good luck everyone!

System 1:
Detroit Lions +4
Indianapolis Colts +3
New York Giants -7
San Diego Chargers -3

System 2:
New York Giants -7
Cardinals/Vikings UNDER 41
Patriots/Browns OVER 43.5
Giants/Seahawks UNDER 41

I'm against him on three of his four System 1 plays.

I'm not afraid.

Good luck Davey and make sure you pop in now and then at GL. This place does distract one's normal life but in a god way!

Or better yet, just say good morning to us every day. Rumor has it, points will be given retroactively when the system takes effect here going by amount of posts.!
