oh man, I wonder what the guy was thinking. Maybe he was afraid of getting an interference penalty. Or maybe he was trying to hit the guy on the left side to prevent him from going out of bounds, and missed. Sure looked like he deliberately tried to avoid the receiver. What a tough break. ..All he needed to do was stop and let the ball arrive then tackle receiver towards the right. ..tough way to lose. ...and why isn't anyone behind the play?
