the difference between Miami +2 and Miami ML is actually only 1.5 points

by taking +2, you'd be moving the line from miami +.5 (same as miami -.5, or PK, obviously) to 1, to 1.5, to 2. That's three moves, or 1.5 points.

Also, I want to bet the Heat on the moneyline because Ladbrokes has live "In play" wagering on this game.

Should the Heat be ahead during the game there will be opportunity to lock in a profit by betting the Mavs at + money if they are trailing.

I can also just ride it out.

I didn't - I was going to take Dallas +6.5 in play but backed off, obviously I would have cashed both bets but I am thrilled the Heat won as dogs.
