Thanks to InTheHole for posting that cute cat animation. It reminded me to call the no kill shelter that I foster for and remind them I'm ready for more charges. They called today and said they had three kittens that needed bottle feeding for a few more days until they were ready for solid food.

When I went to pick them up, the lady that had found them decided to keep them so I got this pregnant mom cat. I know, I can't believe I fell for it either. The old kitten bait and switch. They couldn't tell me how far along she was, just that she was too far to have a cat abortion. They guessed anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks until she's due.

They told me the cat's name. It's like Layla or Lilac or some dumb thing. The cat needs a better name. Ideas?
 
Usually when I get fosters I put up a kitten cam so I can post it on Craigslist. I thought they would get adopted faster that way. Mostly I've just gotten alot of flaky people that never follow through. Shocking, I know.

I'll finish setting everything up tomorrow so she'll have a comfy box and a cam. Maybe they'll be a kitten birth broadcast on the net. Too gross? You think I can charge for that kind of porn?
 
Why does it matter what you name a cat? They never bother to learn their name, or come to you when you call them. The only thing they respond to is clicky noises with your mouth. Name it one of those noises. Imagine it speaks Swahili.

Actually, I kind of like that for a name...Swahili.
