Rush shows were notoriously smoky places, perhaps that had something to do with it.
You weren't going to the show with the intention of being sober/drug free.

Although nowadays I attend shows completely sober.

Great pics plommer I remember when the Bulova tower became the shell tower. I think they tore it down mid 80's when the work for the Molson Indy took place.... I worked there during a june heatwave to get the area ready for the race......

1976 the olympics were in Montreal. The rowing events were in Kingston, and I don't remember if any events got held in Toronto. However the 76 "disabled" Olympics were held in Toronto. That was way before political correctness calls it other things.

Those are lights mounted on the roof of the racetrack for night racing.
