What would be your favorite Coen brothers movie if you had to name one? I'd go with O Brother, Where Art Thou? which is one of those movies I can watch over and over and never get tired of. Shit turned me into a George Clooney non-hater.

I can't stand Holly Hunter, but I loved O Brother, Where Art Thou? The soundtrack was awesome and it was a nice spin on Homer's The Odyssey. So many great parts.

I would generally agree, although I would point out that Halloween is just one type of horror flick. Something like Don't Look Now, I consider a very good movie. I do not consider The Exorcist as great as many people but I find it a much more interesting sort of horror movie than the line-up-the-teens-and-slaughter-'em horrors.

Fair enough. I was not trying to imply your rating was wrong. I just meant that the original Halloween is one of the best movies ever made for that type of horror film. So if you thought that it sucked, you would be wasting your time watching any of those types.

Saw La Haine via recommendation of Matty. About three young guys living in the projects of Paris, and how their rebel mentality is a product of how they get treated in it. Without really being thugs, criminals, gangsters; just hopeless. Not that great of a story but I liked the realistic setting. Most people would find it boring. It has a good line though, and real "so far so good". 7 out 10 Matty Raines.

We watched The Messenger. There seems to be an endless supply of movies showing the effects of PTSD after men & women return from the Middle East and how they struggle to put their lives back together afterward.

With the exception of outstanding performances by Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson, I thought the movie was just OK.

Little Miss Sunshine was... Meh. Ok. I guess.

I watched The Hangover for the third time. It's actually funnier than I remembered it since I saw it at the theaters. You get a bit sick of tourists reciting lines from it here though.

Don't Say a Word. Was a decent little thriller starring Michael Douglas and Brittany Murphy. Not incredibly suspenseful but it wasn't a bad movie.

Miss March. A low budget comedy about a guy who gets drunk and falls down the stairs the night of his prom while his girlfriend waits for him upstairs to lose his virginity. He ends up in a coma and is woken by his best friend smashing him in the face with a baseball bat. There were a few laughs. It was mediocre.

Miss March sounds amazing.

The Messenger was good, but I wanted it to be so much more. The potential was there, but just never seemed to capitalize on anything. But yes, Harrelson and the other dood were quite amazing.

Saw The Hangover for first time since theater viewing. Just a breath of fresh air as an original comedy that delivers the laughs.

I rewatched it after suggesting it to you and it did feel a lot less edgy than it did back then. Desensitized much.

You're welcome Breadipoo.

I have been on a Breaking Bad binge lately. I'm 2 seasons in and I'm still floored by the whole thing. Brian Cranston aka Malcolm's Dad is just sensational and the writing is very clever, mixing terrible tragedy with lots of comedy, which is needed to keep the show from being an absolute downer. If there is a better show on TV right now, I wanna know what it is.

Really happy you are enjoying the show so much...I agree between the writing and the way they film....nothing better on tv right now.
