I feel like I need to see Children of Men again. There was quite a bit of critical acclaim about it but my reaction was pretty lukewarm. Maybe I missed something or I was in the wrong mood.

Then again, usually when I have that feeling about a movie and I do see it again, it just confirms my lukewarmth.

I liked Children of Men. Definitely something I would like to see again. One thing that really stands out in my mind is that "suicide kits" are readily available and advertised on television and billboards. I like that concept.

Do you read any Vonnegut? Some of his stories set in a time when people don't age anymore have Ethical Suicide Parlors. They have purple roofs and you get a free meal at Howard Johnson's before you kick off. RIP Kurt.

On the Beach had government-supplied suicide kits, if I remember correctly.

DO NOT listen to that dirty canadian Matty Rain... MOON was very good...
awesome acting out of Rockwell and although it is slow overall (i mean fuck, theres basically 1 actor the entire time) but there is so much more that meets the eye going on. easily a top 10 movie for me last year, maybe even top 5... it just didnt get much attention in the u.s.

Looks like I gave Moon 7 out of 10 at imdb. That is a pretty high rating for me. I'd like to explain the rating and defend the film but oddly, although it wasn't that long ago that I saw it, I really don't remember much about it.

Overall rating at imdb is 8.0 out of 10.
