i get that it is "thinking outside the box" and I loved some of his other movies but for me that movie just was whatever....

That's what I thought the first time, back during my non-free thinking mind days.

Yeah, they were both awesome, but the first one really got me.

Yep, pretty disturbing. And here us judgmental viewers thought he was toothless due to bad hygiene.

Closer - Great movie depicting just how fucked up relationships can be. Natalie Portman is sexy as balls. Clive Owen owns a couple of the greatest sexual exchanges ever. (One with Portman, the other with a very naughty Julia Roberts). Second viewing for me and it only got better this time around.

jude law's character in that movie is perfect...

complete pussy who lets the best thing go away, tries to get it back, because the one he wants doesn't want him

and...

natalie portman is hot

It was not planned but movie-wise, last week ended up being about Spielberg's greatest hits. We saw:

Saving Private Ryan (1998) - Outstanding. 9 out of 10. It lost the Best Picture Oscar to Shakespeare in Love.

Schindler's List (1993) - On my short list for best movie of all time. 9 out of 10.

Nothing too surprising

The Godfather
The Godfather II
Pulp Fiction

I see I also rated the documentary movie Emmanuel's Gift a 10. To be honest, I don't remember it all that well but I guess it must have struck a chord at the time.

And I have The Wire rated 10 but obviously that is not a movie.
