math help?

I am having a brain fart here and can't remember my old math.

If 1.05 to the power of x equals 1.33333333

How do you solve for x. Some kind of logarithm right?

Yeah I just figured in out - except shouldn't it be log where you're saying ln ??

Works out the same - okay.

ln is the natural logarithm..if you use ln you can use your calculator to do it..but yeah it works the same way

if he wants to use log he needs to use this x = log1.05(1.333)

but you can't do this on the calculator..that's why I gave him the ln formula
