I've visited that museum and however douchey Eva Longoria is, that spot pretty much choked me up. They made the hotel he was shot at into a museum. It's done really well. They start off with the history of slavery and the trade routes from Africa through the years up to the garbage strike in Memphis. MLK was supposed to speak at a rally for the striking workers. There's lots of video of violence at lunch room counters and protests interspersed with kkk, burning crosses and lynched bodies. By the time you go down the hallway to the enclosed, undisturbed room where he was shot, they could have wallpapered the walls with LOL cats and be showing Family Guy reruns and you would still probably tear up.

I added Eva Longoria Parker on Facebook because 1) I think she's hot and 2) I enjoy adding douchebaggy celebs sometimes for the comedy of it all.

Just saw this update, accompanied by a picture that I didn't open and really don't give a shit about:

"Eva Longoria Parker - Me and my parents standing in the very spot where MLK was shot. It was bone chilling. Tears came to my eyes."

Calm the fuck down, Eva. Jeezus.

I must take a contrarian stance on two counts

1) I find it completely plausible that Eva Longoria had a sincere emotional reaction just as she described.

2) I don't find Eva Longoria all that hot, just okay.
