Ya I don't know what to make of it all. Some people are just kind hearted when it comes to elderly, helping out, but some are sneaky pricks. I deal with sneaky pricks every day. They are out there for sure. IAG mentioned she is kind of a scammer. Maybe something is up.
 
Back to IAG's dilemma - I can't believe she is depositing money back. I guess she doesn't need the money like you think. She's a wacko, but money doesn't drive her i guess. All you can really do is pay her like normal and if she wants to deposit back, thats on her.
 
It seems to me that a teller accepting a deposit into someone else's account without power or attorney or some shit would be a serious offense, and I'm bewildered by it apparently being done on a regular basis here.

I may be missing some nuance but I would just talk to her. Find out what everyone is thinking in the clearest possible language and reach an agreement.

She sounds like one of these people who wants to be a martyr. They are out there. Me, I would let her.


What I'm seeing here is possibly the dopiest battle-of-wills of all time. If someone wants to give me money, I would generally let them.
 
I have tried to talk to her. I brought it up again today. I told her that I had become aware of the deposits and that I wasn't pleased. She wwas complaining about money again and I told her that she shouldn't complain to me about money when she won't take her paycheck.

Then she tried to tell me that someone had deposited $120 into her account or something...she was hinting that it was me. I told her it wasn't me...she gave me some weird look. I said. "No, really. It wasn't me. Hand to God." I have no idea if that really happened, if she forgot a deposit she had made herselfor if it was entirely made up. I really doubt any of her clients are depositing money back in her account.

I don't know. When I say she's a scammer....it's like smaller stuff..not the government but like sneaking into concerts, taking stuff back and making up reasons or somehow making money on the deal, saying she wasn't going to pay her chiropractor after months of treatment..stuff like that. I think it's probably one of two things. I am always chastising her for such things and she is trying to persuade me of her good character and wants to be my best buddy (she does call me during the week a lot-) , or she is angling for a big bonus somewhere down the line somehow.

I probably deserve the money for putting up with her super annoying behavior. She will not let me finish a sentence..I will say "So I was out in the yard today...and she will immediately cut in and say something like "and you tripped and fell?" or something completely out of the blue...She is a cute girl (or was in the day) but never has a bf cuz she is always talking. I mean ALWAYS. It's "OMG this and OMG that." and she is dumb. Like really dumb. I have to get a video. I think it will put things in perspective. I feel badly for talking shit as I do appreciate the work and I know she does have a good heart. It's just hard to explain this girl unless you have seen/heard video as one or two have. I might have to take one.

She hung around a long time today after I got home. I felt like she was waiting around for me to offer to give her money again. I'm not doing that again.
 
Oh, and last year when I was really working out and watching my diet I would ask her to refrain from bringing whole cakes and 2 dozen cookies over etc...I said if she wanted to bring one for mom that is ok, but otherwise didn't want that stuff in the house. My mom doesn't eat much of that stuff. I told her nicely that I didn't want it in the house.

The next visit she brings over 6 frosting laden cupcakes. I told her I was going to throw them away. It's not that I have not voiced my displeasure over things...she just ignores it. She thinks it's funny. She has no filter either. Trailer.

Today she told me Pogo was barking and wanted out earlier. I asked if she let him out, she said "no. I had to finish vacuuming?? " This after telling her Monday that mom and Pogo always have priority over any house work. Last week she let him out, didn't watch him and he ran away. She didn't go look for him. Luckily someone down the street brought him back. She said "Next time I'm just going to let him bark." I said "No. You will let the dog out and watch him." She doesn't like Pogo cuz he gets in her way when she cleans. . I'm scared she might be one of those people who kicks dogs when no one is around. A nanny cam might not be a bad idea.
I'm going to look into that.

Yeah. After remembering all this stuff..I deserve that money.
 
Save up the extra money and buy a big ass UHDTV. When you get it installed sit in front of the TV watching sports and after you tell her that you bought the TV with her extra salary, tell her to get her lazy fucking ass to work and to not bother you anymore. Freedom of Speech; capitalism;
