an amazing turn of events, the first period Russian team didn't look like they deserved to be in the building. Third period totally outclassed the Canadians. Saw a glimpse of Soviet Style of play from long long ago. :clap: all is not lost:russia::reno:

and let this be a lesson to the Russian management: never again use NHL primadonas for international competition.
 
Reno, Blitty isn't pissed at the American team finishing 3rd, he is pissed because Canadians (in an American city) made up the majority of those in attendance.

Congrats Russia!

I love this win for the Russians. I honestly do. They are by far my 2nd fav hockey players and I think I mentioned this to Reno in Vegas. I love their skill level and especially their willing to win in last night's 3rd period collapse. It seriously looks good on Canada, but at teh end of the day/year, next year it will only make us better. The Russians winning the gold is very important for Hockey and the World Jr. Tourney in general. Canada needed to get knocked off it's perch for a couple years for sure. We'll be back for sure.

OH.....I can't wait to hear what that loud mouth bigoted moron Don Cherry will go on about on Saturday night. My guess is he will say the refs blew calls and Canada was robbed. Hopefully he finally gives those ugly Russian kids a pat on the back for playing their hearts out in the 3rd period last night. They deserved the gold.

They choked, and the Canadian announcers saw it coming, the Canuck kids wanted to sit back and run out the clock and that was what sunk them. They took the foot off the gas and got what they deserved.

Not only did they let up, The Russians came out stronger in the 2nd and took it to the Canadians in the 3rd. Canada's downward spiral started in the 2nd period. I honestly saw it coming. Looks good on us.
