I wash my jeans. In a regular washer. And I dry them in a dryer. I have never had a problem with them "wearing out" or whatever is supposed to happen to them.

Sorry if this seems like bragging, but I am known as a person with brain cells to spare - but I don't consider this issue important enough to dedicate a single brain cell to it. Somehow I have gone through 50+ years of life with the philosophy of wash my jeans, you know, whenever - and things have worked out fine.

They last longer when you freeze them. Just like food or paint brushes. Humidity and air spoil them.
