Fans around here going nuts but I look at this way, good news unreal start in 1st half makes it so much easier to get to postseason. Of course better get their crap together by end of Sept.

Marlins acquired a ton of power bats in the last 5 days. They're not all MLB ready but it's refreshing to see them acquiring good baseball players as opposed to the Jeter way which was acquiring good athletes who are not good at baseball.

So updating my 12-18 prediction now 8-7. In hunt but still don't they make the playoffs. And my Phils at 4-11 over that time and by far WORST DEFEAT of season Sat night.

Updating the Pirates now stand at 8-16 with the 10 game losing streak. My 12-18 prediction for 30 games after break might end up being too generous. Skenes can't even save them.

And of course my dreadful Phils of late coming with a 8-16 record. Thank God the Braves and Mets having been good either. Gonna be a fight to get a bye now.
