No I am talking about from people actually within the service industry. You know, the people that actually make a living off the tips they receive? Yeah those people. Not a generalization if it's true. Of course there are going to be great tippers who are black, all over the place. But (by in large) they do not tip as well as other races. That was my experience in the 6 years I worked as a server in a moderately upscale restaurant.

I am an uneducated hillbilly so I rub shoulders with quite a few. Also as odd as it seems...the only group to order lemons and sugar to the table as a means to avoid paying for pop.

I dont believe I have ever given less then just under 15%. Usually I give 20. If its real busy or someone called off its usually not their fault. If they fuck up my appetizer ill just eat what they give me. Tough job...little bit degrading too..obviously they need the money. Couple bucks ain't gonna break me either way...As long as they are trying I'm fine.

I've been a waitress, it's not that tough, but yes, sometimes mistakes are made. The only part that is even remotely tough about it is a customers lack of patience.
