maybe I will write a complete exegesis of this entire piece if I get the time

It is dense and brilliant, a departure from the lighthearted satire of much of his work

but still of course with the cutting humor and unexpected surprises that characterize everything he writes

brilliant

Members of gamelive. Please have mercy on shanty. He is trying his best to fit in with a bunch of jokesters, even trying his own hand at jokes.

I beg all of you who still have points at SBR...please donate them to shanty so he doesn't lose faith in the Western degeneracy otherwise known as gambling.

And a note to shanty. Your first mistake was following Bread on a bet that isn't related to the fisticuffs and kick boxing sport otherwise known as Mixed Martial Arts.

I tried once but I had no patience for it. Was Joyce losing his mind when he wrote it? I don't recall hearing what circumstances led him to write it in the manner he did.

Excellent corollary, too, Mudcat. I didn't even skim this Shanty post, it was obvious nonsense about nine characters in.

Yeah I tried once too. I don't know what was going on with Joyce.

I found there was sense to it if you took it slow. You could even get into a bit of a rhythm if you stuck with it. But having said that, I don't think i read more than 4 or 5 pages.

Shanty brought back the memories.

I think he means booty in like an 18th century, pirate sense. But again, there are multiple interpretations to be made. He could just as well mean Robyn's lovely hindquarters. He could be clever enough to mean both, which might take this prose to the level of true literature.

s although they have poinst system at that time and you quote, shantysta do not like us so he is not posting here!well,i am in great disappointment,as i plan to leave this whole small stake betting and try my luck here in pakistan in illegal prize bond gambling.

this is a very appealing notion. Everyone should consider this option very carefully.

Robyn, I should have 180 points at sbr. I'm considering your advice, it takes me 10 minutes to even open a page there. I haven't tried in a week.

All who do not care should give their points to shanty. What will points get you anyway, a flat screen TV in 15 years? Give this simple and free gift to someone who truly appreciates and desires the points.

Thank you.
