Lake Or Ocean

As the weather begins to heat up, I’m curious if you guys are more ocean guys or lake guys?

My guess is the majority will be ocean, but I’ll play Devils Advocate and give some strong benefits to lake living.

A lot less crowded, so easier to mess around with your significant other without getting arrested.

No worry about jellyfish or sharks

Dogs aren’t banned at lakes.

Not as much money spent on gas on a lake.

Fishing is better

Pool if I can find it. I grew up with lake life and have lotsa fond memories of days on the Stockbridge Bowl. Kiddo absolutely loves the ocean but last summer we took a dip in the lake 3-4 days a week... if I have to choose I'm going lake. But I'm probably only 60/40.

Rivers freak me out, too. I go with my Uncle on his boat here several times a year. It is therapeutic and passes the time. Plus, we always have a great meal afterwards…

I grew up on the ocean. Most of my summer days as a kid was spent at the beach. I love the beach after 4pm in the summer. Not many kids left at that hour. A chair a cooler some tunes. And hopefully some ladies to look at. Great way to wind down the day.

I know Atlantic City has gotten a lot of bad raps recently, but I had such a great time there and absolutely loved the beach 🏖️

Shorty there's a lake called Lake Cocibolca where there's bull sharks living natively, the theory is that centuries ago they swam up river through the San Juan River for hundreds of kilometers from the Caribbean sea and settled there. They adapted to live in fresh water and there's now an endemic community there. I saw one with my own eyes when I took a ferry off Granada going to this lake island call Ometepe.
