Al Qaeda idiots attacked a natural gas plant in Algeria taking hostages and the Algerian military killed them all without negotiating. Don't mess with Algeria!

(Insert Algeria Flag smiley here)

Yeah this was in retaliation of the French invasion of Mali, supposedly. Pretty impressive the amount of attackers but very disorganized. Over 30 of them got killed. 23 hostages died.

They got Al Qaeda all the way over there? oh oh

The only place they can operate in is Africa and Yemen. The rest of the Arabian Peninsula, the Middle East and even the greater Pakistan they must be underground.

Muddy, Beijing and surrounding cities are going through the worst pollution scores ever recorded. 40 times the safe human limit. Some daytime pictures.

They labeled it Airpocalypse. Coal, huge number of cars, shitty environmental laws. The papers are calling for action on use of automobiles. This is a quote about the defending blue sky project

"Air pollution control has been a priority for the city's policy makers since the "Defending the Blue Sky" project was launched in 1998.

A five-grade classification of air quality on the basis of pollution indices has been used in Beijing, with grade I being the best and grade V the worst. Days with grade I or II air quality are considered "blue sky days."

Annual "blue sky days" have increased from 100 in 1998 to 286 in 2011.

However, environmental authorities in Beijing announced in early June this year that they will stop counting "blue sky days," as the total could hardly reflect the specific situations in different parts of the city.

Experts say although the city's air quality has been improving gradually, the progress remains far from acceptable and serious challenges in improving air quality loom ahead."

Muddy in the south of Brazil on Saturday night there was a fire in a night club that killed 231 people. 80 are still in the ICU. There was a band playing and a member fire a pyrotechnic device part of the show, it hit the ceiling which was cover in a sound suppressing foam. In a couple of minutes the whole place was engulfed in black smoke. None of the victims show sign of death by fire and it's presume they all died by asphyxiation or stumping. A huge national tragedy on the eve of Carnaval.

Warning uncensored gory pic:

I recall a very similar story happening years ago. Nightclub/pyrotechnics meets foam/inferno. I think it was in the USA.

Decades ago probably. I am old and lose track of the passage of time. I'm thinking maybe New Jersey (??)

This is it Muddy! RI and NJ get confused a lot!

You always heard people that are born in one state and say they really want to move to that state, like Colorado, FLA, Cali, Montana, Tennessee, Arizona, Vermont ......... have you ever heard anyone say they want to move to NJ or RI!

I remember the Great White incident. I think it happened the same way, the soundproofing caught fire and everyone died of asphyxiation.

I stopped getting into crowded clubs/convert venues after losing both my shoes and getting stomped on during a Primus concert in like 1997. If it's too packed I stay in the back by the console.
