if you look at his ft % of the last 10 games or so, it was well above 90% I think

so you can't look at FT % for such a small sample.

hell an entire season is a small sample

Huh? All I said was that IF he shot his FT% for the year, he would have had 31 points. That's all. That's a fact.

define matter. it'd be extreme variance. my pt was 8/11 for a .9 isn't extreme at all, it's completely within a normal range.
