Is anyone at this forum not rooting for USA to win the World Cup?

USA to win the world cup of soccer? No, I sure can't say I am cheering for that.

No team has emerged as a favorite for me yet but USA? They would not be on the list of candidates.

Prolly would have had two and a half seconds of happiness for Ghana had they won yesterday. Little guy and all.

:dunno:

I have not established a favourite at all for the World Cup. I hope USA does well, but I don't think they can win it, that's for sure.. I hope they don't get embarrassed in any of the games (like Portugal or Spain).

I might like Germany. Machine-like precision. Not a lot of idiotic hysteria.

I was listening to people talk about their game yesterday and how they weren't even sure their 4th goal was a goal, there was so little reaction. They figured it must have been offside or something because the Germans showed no sign anything in particular had happened.

It amused me.

I might like Germany.

I was at a bar watching the game yesterday, and like most of the bars in my area, it was packed.

When the 2nd goal was scored, the cheering in the establishment gave me a quick chill. Don't ask me why, but that USA chant in celebration gave me flashbacks of when they killed Obama and when they nabbed the Boston Marathon bomber.

The personalities of the players on the US team are secondary to the majority IMO.

Now of course if we find out one is a racist, than love for the team will diminish. Until then, I'm all Team USA.

I was expecting a predictable Canadian coup! Mutiny!

So soccer is cool now?

It's the most hipster trendy thing out there. I've never seen the bars so packed. Same as 4 years ago.

I thought soccer was all flopping and boring? WTF Blitty!

Go USA!!!!!

I've never said that soccer was boring. I'm a bigger fan of the sport then most people. I just find that the fouls that lead to game changing 90% successful penalty shots is ridiculous.
