From what I've seen on Facebook, it hasn't come close to being as rounded as MySpace was for artists. Besides, bands get exposure on YouTube, not Facebook.


For me, the cons always outweighed the pros on Facebook.

For every cool photo that I was happy to see that a friend posted, I'd have to suffer through 15 terminally boring status updates.

And then you have the whole issue of every family member and co-worker wanting to be your friend and getting upset with you if you don't allow them to be your "friend".


I have no patience for reading status updates from my 22 year old cousin advising the world that he's "watching his girlfriend sleeping on the couch. Again."

Yeah. I've blocked most of my "friends" from appearing on my News Feed.

For me, Facebook has pretty much replaced email, and to some extent, the good old phone. When you have friends who are always on the go and you're not sure where they can be reached, the safest bet is a Facebook message.

But I can't blame people for not using it. It requires a lot of care & monitoring once you start mixing family, old friends, new friends, coworkers & bosses.

Delete that shit Fiveteamer.
