Yes. I met him when the Reds were in town playing the Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium back when I was in high school. A friend and I were elected by our teammates to be Ball Boys for a series. One of the best experiences of my life. Pete was such an awesome guy! He was not arrogant in the slightest. Down to earth and talked with us about baseball and life in general…
