I know the Mavs-Heat game is the main show but we have a decent bases game tonight.
Liking the Reds myself ML or 1st 5? Sanchez expected to be better than Volquez but IMO the Reds lineup far superior with the Giant's injuries especially looking at tonight's lineups.
Lineups:
Reds: Stubbs CF, Phillips 2B, Votto 1B, Bruce RF, Rolen 3B, Gomes LF, Renteria SS, Hernandez C, Volquez P
Giants: Torres CF, Tejada SS, Schierholtz RF, Huff 1B, Ross LF, Crawford SS, Burriss 2B, Stewart C, Sanchez P
Cincy hits .296 against LH pitching this year while Giants batting .233 facing RH. Wind is blowing out tonight though to RF. Thinking maybe 1st 5 since the Red's BP might be suspect and not be able to count on Volquez to go deep for 2nd straight game after coming back from the minors?
Giants BP usually strong and Sanchez could go deep into game but just don't see the Giants even getting to Volquez unless he is wild with this lineup? Both pitchers can have control problems so the more patient team at the plate will probably have the advantage.
Last 5 games Reds have scores 24 runs while batting .275 with a .401 OBP. Giants meanwhile have produced 9 runs to go along with a .223 AVg and .316 OBP. If you look back at their last 10 games respectively Cincy batters have faced superior starting pitching.
