I say I play it straight up. Completely deadpan. Answer all questions thoughtfully and on-the-level. But wearing a tinfoil hat.

Interesting thing about Mandatory Minimum's, though..........

In Florida for instance, in order to get any type of mandatory minimum (3 years) you need to get caught with 25 pounds of marijuana.

25 pounds is A SHIT TON of weed.

If you get caught with 24 pounds, you don't get hit with any mandatory minimum.

I used marijuana as an example because it's the most widely used.

They didn't actually make us promise anything, but they instructed us not to talk about details of the case while it's going on. So I ain't.

I was somewhat pleased that when we were swearing in, they had the option of being "affirmed" rather than using some dopey book (i.e. the Koran, Talmud, Christian Bible, Green Eggs and Ham etc.)

There is formal acknowledgement that those books have no moral significance to many people in our society. About half the people I observed went the affirmed route.

I'm sure it would have been more using "holy" books decades ago. Things are going in the right direction as far as that.

Not really. You were doing what you were supposed to do according to the job. You were being conscientious.

People just needs to chill out. People get themselves so twisted into knots with impatience. Furious?

I can imagine some spouses playing the there-should-be-no-secrets-in-marriage card.

That would be stupid IMO. Just chill.


Having said all that, if I hang out with Jenny this weekend, I will probably blab everything. (And I will be wrong to.)
