times in my life that i've felt old:

1) when i woke up on the morning of my 34th birthday. i'm not sure why that particular birthday, i just remember waking up and thinking, "34, man that's old."

2) june 20, 1991. pudge rodriguez makes his major league debut several months shy of his 20th birthday. he wasn't first player born in the 1970s to play in the majors (wilson alvarez was), but i felt old when pudge made his debut for some reason.

3) april 17, 2001. when my younger sister became a grandmother.

4) qualifying for the early bird discount at luby's not long ago. just flash your aarp card, 10% off.

my 34th b-day is in about 3 weeks.... that does seem old, I think because 33x3=99 and 33x4=102

102 is WAY WAY older than 99

now i'm gonna be 1/3rd of my way to 102

people that were born the same day i turned 34 have been drinking legally for a few years now. i remember my pop telling me that his birthdays never made him feel old, but when his youngest daughter turned 30, then he felt old.
