So my job's contract ends 1 month from today.

So I am looking for some part time work to occupy my time, so I applied to a sporting goods store, with the sole purpose of using my employee discount and selling the stuff I buy on ebay or craigslist.

When I lived in wyoming, my girlfriend worked at a ski store, and was always buying high end coats and skis for "my cousin". This lasted about 2.5 months until she finally realized I didnt have 50 cousins, and was hawking this shit. I offered to cut her in on the profits, but she just dumped my ass.

anyway how long do you think I can pull this off, with the holiday season coming up these people need help, and if I can buy 2 $3000 kayaks at 30-40 percent off before getting fired this would be a winning situation for me.

You could also start an actual eBay business and buy shit off a distributor for a steeper discount. Wouldn't have to take a crappy retail job. Just a thought.

One of my friends used to go to yard sales and consignment shops and buy all kinds of shit and sell it on ebay as kind of a side thing, made decent extra cash doing that.

then I would have to pay taxes and shit, some distributors have a minimum you need to buy. I only plan on working 1 day a week. I would kill someone if I worked retail 40 hours a week.
