Archie, with black mold I would probably buy a new unit, but most black mold issues can usually be worked on with some gloves and alot of bleach.

Just get a bucket of bleach water and scrub.

black mold in AC unit means theres mold spores all over your house.

google the new RRP rules/laws relating to this shit, its unreal...

when I come across a homeowner with mold problems, I run the other way.
if caught working on mold w/out a license first fine is something like 36K
