Hopefully Flying Again

So my GF received a text from one of her close friends. Looks like she is getting married on the quick in Vegas. She wants my GF to go. The wedding is April 23rd and that happens to be the day before my GF's birthday.

Made an appointment to see a doctor in two weeks to see what it will take to fly again. Not going to lie, I'm nervous. Nervous by what the doctor will find needs to be done and a bit nervous about flying again. I haven't been on a plane since 2002.

I am posting because as I am searching for flights, what website do most recommend I use? Is nonstop THAT much better than a one stop flight? Any airline recommendations?

Went to doctor Monday. They did a bunch of tests. Blood work I got my results today. I am actually in good health. As far as my nose, my doctor sent me to a specialist (which I go to on Monday). My GP didn't see anything from the norm when he looked upwards, but told me with my past history it's best I get all the x-rays and stuff done.
