At the time, Matty was part of the chat crew and I expected to continue to interact with him daily, so a diplomatic report seemed to be in order. As time has passed and he hasn't been a part of my daily life I no longer had any incentive to parse my thoughts on the matter. The issue of my thoughts not being presented publicly is a total red herring, as I made the comments unabashedly in chat for anyone who was participating in the conversation to comment upon. The fact that I made them in the presence of someone with zero character like Blitty only proves that I gave no concern to who eventually heard them.

Mathieu, I'm truly sorry if they came as a surprise, I was under the assumption that you were being similarly discrete about your candid observations out of respect for our mutual associates. As we've since aligned ourselves with different cliques, such obfuscation no longer seemed necessary. Trust me when I say that it's not you, it's me.
 
Technically I'm not turning on Matty either, Bread, but I hear you. I was relating the fact that my experience led me to conclude that I'll be content to interact with people on the internet from now on without any expectation of befriending them in real life. I like to make friends slowly, as I find that I'm very sensitive to the personalities I find myself in proximity to. The sudden plunge of meeting someone as an event unto itself just wasn't for me. This is probably why I suck at dating, people are something of a non-event to me.
