Seems the Conservative campaign strategy of extreme, long-term snottiness is not getting the job done.
 
Of those who chose the Conservatives first, 43 per cent said they had no second choice, while 52 per cent of those who chose the Liberals first chose the NDP second, and 50 per cent of those who chose the NDP first chose the Liberals second.


Unsurprisingest. Findings. Ever.
 
So people can get on with despising the new guy?

Still waiting for the first PM in my lifetime who is not despised and ridiculed by people on the other sides.

There is only one path to non-despising if we would all just take a look:

She is "Hurricane" Hazel McCallion who was mayor of my city (Mississauga) for something like 35 years before retiring last year. Tended to win elections with 90% of the vote.

But don't think no one despised her. She had her despisers. My Jenny had a despise on for her.

Me? I can't do anything but love Hazel.

And then I heard a spot today where Harper began with something like, at the start of the campaign, the other candidates didn't want to talk about issues, they just wanted to talk about me.

That's how he has gotten me out of my chair to go against him. Projecting his own exact approach onto the others, who were actually remarkably restrained and issues-focused considering the provocation.

Some brazen, greasy attempted shit right there.
