I hate to be harsh but this is about the most predictable thread I have ever read. You jumped into something WAY too quick when everyone here told that was a bad idea. You needed to go slow....see what happens instead you went from 0-100 in 10 minutes.

Nicky post on facebook "Done dealing with drunks"?

I haven't followed this situation at all but I remember when you were first talking about it and talking about true love, I made a comment about how true love is about complete acceptance of each other. Therefore you should tell her how important getting wasted is to you, and that you abuse substances to the point where you sometimes end up emergency, with both hands temporarily paralyzed. (I'm not being judgmental - my substance abuse took me to emergency more than once).

It looks like you have shown her. It does not surprise me that she is not into that kind of action. Most chicks aren't.

The same will be true in the future. If you aren't going to do something about your drinking, you either need to get better at hiding it (which I don't recommend) or look for a fellow lush. There are lots of them out there. (Not that relationships between lushes are overwhelmingly successful.)

Really appreciate it all guys so many good points.

Coug, she was and I was.

Kato sorry to disappoint. I agree form the outside it does look very predictable. Who knows maybe we will pull a rabbit out of a hat. We were just that good together.

Blitt you might have a good point. But I don't want to go there yet

we need to find you this gurl, steve(s)

How much of it was the drinking Stevie? You don't have to answer here, but I think you gotta read Muddy's post extra-carefully and be honest with yourself. I'm not one to judge cause I've gone the substance-abuse way... although not during a relationship (and probably because of the lack of a relationship.) That said I was a bit sad to see you admitting you were getting fokked up that one morning when Nicky was already in your life. Obviously we're not talking about a quick six or 12 pack here and there.

Well a lot. We had a coming together party the whole way, but the babbling about my ex I attribute much to starting a Sunday shooting Tequila and carrying on. Actually I had a great time.

The deal breaker is I was pretty loaded when her Mom called Nookie and said "I accidentally dialed your ex, and it was kind of cool what he had to say". So I called her and said no more of him after all the abuse and crimes he committed. She defends him blah blah blah I was drunk and could have been nicer but the theory remains the same now that I am sober. He is a complete ass who cheated on her for who knows how long, immediately supposedly got engaged after to the woman he was cheating on her with when I ran the swoop and take, stole pretty much everything from her place when he left, and stole the money she gave him for a large amount of bills.

What I see is that I have been trying to have kids with this girl whom it seems I rushed into things and I really did but also our love goes back also a decade. I picture that douche whom I know had a part in $600 in damage to my car around my kids and I just say no.

So in my drunk way I said all that to her mother and all she can do is defend this guy and say he is decent after all that, and she is a big enough influence on Nookie to convince of that and that they should still be friends.

Completely sober saying now that I deserve better than that in my opinion. Oh well.

Awesome girl though, but that scum being around would always piss me off so someone else's problem. I can't say I didn't try to show her the world.

It's a numbers game.

Everything is a numbers game but when you (general "you") get serious about becoming your "best" self I think things change drastically to be in your favor. It's a pretty simple formula that's really difficult to apply.

Steve(s), I'm sorry things didn't work out. I hope good can come out of this.

and.....what Mudcat said.

I do agree but, answer me this -

Can any of you tell me why the ex should be allowed to under any circumstances be around us?

Things I know he did:

Steal almost all of her shit when he left HER apt
Write marker all over her refridgerator
Steal her modem
Threaten me that he was evil spirit BAPHOMET and that if he wanted to he could destroy me (he's AWESOME when he's drugged up)
Say "you won the battle I'm calling my crew off you"
Cheat on her for God knows how long and then the probably fake engagement just to hurt her
Still her bill money. Guess what, when I leave I am taking the Comcast I set up with me and she will be reminded of the $300 Verizon bill he left behind just for starters. I wanted so much better for Nookie.
Pretty damn sure he slashed the tire or had something to do with it as are the police.

Would you? I am told I am being a controlling person simply because I will not accept THAT into my life and therefore I am trying to tell her who she can be friends with.

Am I?

I originally thought she would but after thinking it out she won't have a computer (because I have to take mine home) until she is at her Mother's and I seriously doubt she'd look at Gamelive from her Mothers.

So a very small chance that will happen.

But feel free to fire away as if she would or won't, whichever way you like, I wanna hear it.
